An urgent recall has been issued for a product released to promote Toy Story 5 after it was deemed a choking hazard for young children.<\/p>\n

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission issued an urgent recall for Toy Story 5 collector cups with character figure toppers.<\/p>\n

The collectable items feature Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie, and LilyPad.<\/p>\n

The four items have been recalled because the toppers can break into small pieces, creating a choking hazard for young children.<\/p>\n

The ACCC said there was a \u201crisk of serious injury or death\u201d if children swallow pieces of the broken toppers.<\/p>\n

The items were sold at Hoyts Cinemas between June 16 and 29 across the country.<\/p>\n

The cups, which were manufactured in Taiwan, were also available internationally and online.<\/p>\n

Those who purchased the cup have been advised to stop using it immediately and keep it out of the reach of children.<\/p>\n

The cups can be returned to Hoyts for a full refund and further information can be provided by the cinema.<\/p>\n

Toy Story 5 was released in Australian cinemas on June 18.<\/p>\n

The fifth instalment of the beloved classic picks up about three years after the events of the previous film, in which most of the gang have found a new home with a girl named Bonnie, who loves nothing more than to play.<\/p>\n

It follows the gang of toys including Buzz Lightyear, Woody, and Jessie as they face-off against a tablet, LilyPad.<\/p>\n
