Newcastle United Women are delighted to announce the signing of defender Rachel McLauchlan from Brighton and Hove Albion.<\/p>\n
The Scotland international joins the Magpies for an undisclosed fee after two years with the\u00a0Seagulls.<\/p>\n
Rachel made 51 appearances during her time on the south coast and featured for the side in the\u00a0Adobe Women\u2019s FA Cup final at the end of last season.<\/p>\n
Previously, the defender spent time with Rangers, Glasgow City and Hibernian helping them all to\u00a0achieve a host of honours including five Scottish Women\u2019s Premier League titles, and four Scottish\u00a0Cups.<\/p>\n
Internationally, she has 35 caps for Scotland and was selected to represent them at the Euros in\u00a02017.<\/p>\n
Rachel said: \u201cI\u2019m really excited to get started. I\u2019m raring to go, it\u2019s a big opportunity and I\u2019m looking\u00a0forward to meeting everyone.<\/p>\n
