Iran<\/a> has said it will begin targeting US navy vessels in the region in a stark warning.<\/p>\n

A statement from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy<\/a> made the threat.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe movements and assets of the US terrorist military are under the surveillance of Iran\u2019s naval units,\u201d the statement read.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Americans are bringing themselves closer, moment by moment, to zero hour for operations against CENTCOM\u2019s naval units in the region\u2019s waters.<\/p>\n

\u201cWait for it\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

On Saturday morning an Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman said the US had been targeting civilian infrastructure and killing innocent people.<\/p>\n

\u201cLast night, in its unlawful attacks on Hormuzgan Province, the US committed another blatant war crime by targeting bridges and murdering eight innocent Iranians \u2014 four men and four women \u2014 including two brothers with disabilities,\u201d spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei<\/a> said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Iranian people are now more determined and united than ever, fully resolved to make their savage enemies bitterly regret this criminal aggression against their beloved homeland.\u201d<\/p>\n

The attack on civilian infrastructure has drawn a rebuke from UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201c(Guterres)\u00a0 is particularly concerned about attacks on civilian infrastructure in Iran and across the region,\u201d a UN spokesperson said.<\/p>\n

\u201cSuch attacks are unacceptable.\u201d<\/p>\n

Iran in retaliation claimed to have destroyed an American unmanned vessel depot in Bahrain<\/a>, as well as Bahrain\u2019s artificial intelligence hub.<\/p>\n

Bahrain\u2019s Defence Force in a statement described Iran\u2019s attacks as \u201csinful\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe General Command clarifies that, with strong will and high combat readiness, the air defence systems with Bahrain\u2019s defence force, intercepted and destroyed a number of treacherous Iranian air strikes today,\u201d the statement read.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe General Command assures that all its weapons and units are at the highest readiness and on defensive readiness to protect the kingdom.\u201d<\/p>\n

It did not confirm any damage to infrastructure.<\/p>\n

The US has announced it has launched a new series of strikes on Iran for the seventh consecutive night.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe strikes are designed to continue degrading Iranian military capabilities at the Commander in Chief\u2019s direction,\u201d a statement from US Central Command said.<\/p>\n

Central Command<\/a> also announced the destruction of a maritime surveillance tower used by Iran to monitor commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe destruction of the tower directly degrades IRGC\u2019s ability to coordinate attacks on innocent civilian crew members,\u201d the statement read.<\/p>\n
