\n\tIt\u2019s not just a sweet, sweet fantasy, Lambs! Mariah Carey<\/a> released a 30th anniversary edition of her 1995 Billboard 200<\/a> No. 1 album Daydream via streaming services on Friday (July 17). The original spent six weeks atop the all-genre chart and went 11x Platinum, and this celebratory version is an expansion that includes several previously unreleased tracks.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThis album marked an era of firsts for me: my first rap collaboration on the iconic \u2018Fantasy\u2019 remix with O.D.B., my first time working with JD, my first world tour, my first time directing a music video on my own, and so many more. So it\u2019s only fitting to include some \u2018firsts\u2019 on this anniversary edition too!\u201d the five-time Grammy winner shared in a release-day Instagram post<\/a> about this version of her hit album. \u201cMost notably, this is the first time I\u2019ve ever agreed (or rather, been convinced) to release my private writing sessions for \u2018I Am Free\u2019 (with Walter A.) and \u2018Melt Away\u2019 (with Babyface). I hope you enjoy this lil\u2019 glimpse into the making of these songs, along with remixes, live performances, acapellas [sic], and b-sides.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAccording to the press release, this expanded version also includes \u201cfan favorites, live performances, classic remixes and features a new remix of \u2018Underneath the Stars.’\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tThough the 30th anniversary edition is available only on streaming for now, physical versions are coming on Oct. 16. The Lambily will be able to purchase it as a triple LP, 2-CD set or cassette. The vinyl version will also include the iconic singer\u2019s 1995 live concert performance at Madison Square Garden, as well as previously unreleased tracks, while the CD set will feature previously unreleased versions of \u201cAlways Be My Baby\u201d and \u201cOpen Arms\u201d recorded during Carey\u2019s June 17, 1996, show in Rotterdam, Netherlands.<\/p>\n
