the NY Post reports.<\/a><\/p>\nThey were at a rental home in Oceanside, San Diego, with about 30 relatives to celebrate their grandfather\u2019s 80th birthday in early July, they said, when they spotted the photo.<\/p>\n
In an interview with Fox News Digital this week, the sisters admitted they were extremely \u201ccreeped out\u201d by seeing the picture. <\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re looking at this picture, and my dad is like, \u2018This looks like me,\u2019\u201d Aubrey Birrell says in the viral video.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m like, \u2018Dad, what?\u2019 \u2026 No, this is my dad. That\u2019s my sister, Libby, from 10 years ago, and that\u2019s Brady, my brother, 10 years ago,\u201d she says as she points to the family members she sees in the picture.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have those swimsuits,\u201d Libby Birrell, 19, adds in the video. <\/p>\n
\u201cWe are literally in this picture.\u201d<\/p>\n
The sisters said they believe the photo was taken about 10 years ago at either Mission Beach or Imperial Beach during one of their family trips for their brother\u2019s soccer tournament.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe remember the swimsuits. We remember the time. We\u2019re pretty confident,\u201d Aubrey said.<\/p>\n
\u201cShe must have captured us when we were there,\u201d said Aubrey Birrell, speaking of the photographer.<\/p>\n
While the family\u2019s mystery appears to be solved, some questions remain.<\/p>\n
In comments on the viral video, users claimed they\u2019d spotted what appeared to be the same beach photograph hanging in other vacation rentals and homes in other states \u2014 including Florida. <\/p>\n
The claims were unconfirmed, but the idea was unsettling to some people. <\/p>\n
The viral video prompted a mix of amusement, alarm and a few similar stories.<\/p>\n
\u201cA lot of people were telling us we should leave, that it was like the start of a horror movie,\u201d Aubrey Birrell said.<\/p>\n
\u201cA lot of people also shared similar experiences, like seeing themselves in a picture frame at a store or spotting themselves on a pamphlet in another state. It was kind of cool to hear those stories.\u201d<\/p>\n
The older sister said the home\u2019s host even offered to give the family a copy of the beach print.<\/p>\n
Today, the sisters said they\u2019re amused by the discovery.<\/p>\n
\u201cI feel all right with it. I was telling [our host] that if we could get a print from the photographer, that would be so cool, just so we could always remember it. I think it\u2019s fun,\u201d Aubrey Birrell said.<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd if anyone else who stays at that [rental home] sees the video,\u201d she added, \u201cthey can go look for the picture.\u201d<\/p>\n
