The Brisbane Broncos remain the team to beat as their excellence was on full display in handing the Wests Tigers their first defeat of the 2026 NRLW season.<\/p>\n

Both sides may have entered the clash with no losses under their belt, but the reigning premiers proved too much for the Tigers as they cruised to a 40-12 victory.<\/p>\n

The favourites to win this year\u2019s title, the halves combination of Ali Brigginshaw and Jesse Southwell combined perfectly with the NSW Blues star having arguably her best performances since arriving at the club from the Knights.<\/p>\n

The duo combined for four try assists, two line-break assists, 6o running meters and a try as they led the Broncos to their 13th consecutive victory.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the Tigers showed signs of life throughout the 70 minutes but were simply outclassed.<\/p>\n

Starting strong, they equalled the score in the 15th minute through Sarah Togatuki, but the middle period cost them dearly as they conceded four tries in 20 minutes.<\/p>\n

They will look to bounce back next weekend when they host the second-place Sydney Roosters at the Eighth Wonder of the World, which is Leichhardt Oval.<\/p>\n

TITANS RUN RIOT AGAINST WOEFUL EELS OUTFIT<\/p>\n

The Gold Coast Titans have run riot against the Parramatta Eels, putting together a scintillating performance as they rocketed to third on the NRLW ladder with a 50-12 win.<\/p>\n

Scoring twice inside the opening five minutes, the Titans made light work of their opponents as eight different players crossed over the line, while Lily Patston and Indie Bostock both ended the contest with doubles.<\/p>\n

While superstar Jaime Chapman may have been quiet with 82 running metres from 11 carries, it was front-rower Laikha Clarke who was the star of the show.<\/p>\n

Leading the forward pack, Clarke produced a game-high 171 running metres, nine tackle busts, two line-breaks and a try which completely dismantled the Eels.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Evania Isa\u2019ako\u2019s red-hot form continued after making the switch from wing to the back-row.<\/p>\n

After missing last season (due to the birth of her first child), the powerful edge forward started the match with a try in the 10th minute and seemingly got better as the contest went on.<\/p>\n

She ended the match with 105 running metres, two line-breaks and two try assists.<\/p>\n
