Lewis Uvwo plays for the Nightrydas Elite, but he himself is a nightmare.<\/p>\n
A native of Nigeria Uvwo is listed at around 6-10 or 6-11, but he has a wingspan of 7-7. Until quite recently, he was listed as a 4-star, but he\u2019s really emerged as a star this summer, with a dominant run at Peach Jam to cap it off.<\/p>\n
When you watch some of the videos below, he is clearly beginning to understand what he is capable of. His shot blocking is absolutely game-changing, and his exuberance suggests he\u2019s beginning to understand that.<\/p>\n
He also has another quality that we saw in young versions of Patrick Ewing and Shaquille O\u2019Neal, but not many others: he can block a shot and finish at the other end. It\u2019s a shocking thing to see, and demoralizing for opponents.<\/p>\n
We don\u2019t see much of his offense here, other than dunks, but you don\u2019t have to watch for long to get it: he has the potential to be an extraordinary defensive player. Coaches will help him to master the rest of his game.<\/p>\n
The Nightrydas are based out of Miami, but Uvwo plays for Prolific Prep, which is now in Fort Lauderdale.
