The campaign seeks to address the complacency around DIY tax returns and promote the benefits of professional assistance.

H&R Block is calling on Australians to rethink their approach to tax time with the launch of a new national campaign, Don’t tax yourself, designed to challenge the belief that doing your own tax return is “good enough”.

Developed in partnership with frog, part of Capgemini, and PHD, the integrated campaign shines a light on the hidden cost of tax-time complacency, encouraging Australians to consider what they could be missing by settling for less than expert support.

The campaign is built around a simple truth: it’s hard to care about losing out on something until you realise just how much you’re losing. By reframing “good enough” as potentially leaving money on the table, the work positions H&R Block’s tax experts as advocates who help Australians maximise their return.

At the centre of the campaign is the creative platform Don’t Tax Yourself. Max Your Tax with H&R Block, which brings to life those eye-opening moments when people discover there was a better way all along.

Through a series of relatable scenarios, the campaign dramatises the realisation that Australians may have been “taxing themselves” unnecessarily, while demonstrating how H&R Block’s experts can help make tax time easier and more rewarding.

H&R Block Australia, Marketing Director, Iris Ho, said the campaign aims to challenge entrenched behaviours during one of the country’s biggest annual financial moments.

“Too many Australians approach tax time with a ‘good enough’ mindset. This campaign is designed to challenge that thinking and encourage people to ask whether they’re really getting the most from their tax return,” says Ho.

“We want Australians to know they don’t have to navigate tax time alone. Our experts are here to help them maximise their return and get the outcome they deserve.”

Jerome Gaslain, Creative Lead at frog, part of Capgemini said the campaign was designed to challenge a mindset many Australians bring to tax time.

“We wanted to create a campaign that makes people stop and question what they might be missing. By reframing DIY tax as taxing yourself, we’re shining a light on the hidden opportunities Australians could be leaving on the table and positioning H&R Block as the advocate that’s working to maximise their return.”

Launching nationally ahead of tax season, the campaign will roll out across television, BVOD and SVOD, alongside radio, out-of-home, social and digital.

Financial services company H&R Block has launched a national campaign aimed at encouraging Australians to reconsider their tax…

[4
64,63,245908,158052,386181,386182,44,76013
post-811157","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-australia","tag-au","tag-australia","tag-capgemini","tag-frog","tag-iris-ho","tag-jerome-gaslain","tag-news","tag-phd
["GET
