while wearing them.<\/p>\n<p>Quickly being dubbed as \u201cthe world\u2019s deadliest pants\u201d, the $50 pair of ultra-long, flowy wide-leg trousers from Zara are causing quite the stir.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"poster-img\" src=\"https:\/\/content.api.news\/v3\/images\/bin\/d2da5977bddd936a07b2cd0763dfee89\" data-sctrack=\"op-poster-img\" alt=\"Are these the world\u2019s deadliest pants?\" fetchpriority=\"high\"\/><\/p>\n<p>More than 2000 videos have already been posted to TikTok about the hazardous garment, with shoppers sharing photos of their busted knees, elbows and toes.<\/p>\n<p>The combination of the wide-leg design with the floor-skimming material is said to wrap around people\u2019s feet when walking, which is likely causing everyone to trip.<\/p>\n<p>One woman, who goes by the name <a class=\"body-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/@holly_gilmer\/video\/7659095078316674326\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Holly Gilmer on TikTok<\/a>, shared a now-viral video of her severe injuries as a result of the pants.<\/p>\n<p>Showcasing a photo of herself in a wheelchair and crutches, she captioned the video: \u201cThese Zara pants need to come with a warning label because I now have a fractured knee.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"body-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/@kristinamichelleeee\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Another TikToker, Kristina Michelle <\/a>shared herself wearing the infamous pants saying \u201cI still own them and love them,\u201d despite admitting that she\u2019s had some near misses.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe other day I almost accidentally tripped and flew headfirst down the stairs,\u201d she said in the video.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI only miraculously saved myself because I caught the railing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She humorously demonstrated just how easy it was to fall, from her lounge room.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou\u2019re walking, walking, walking, and then you\u2019re blowing in the wind, and then this thing catches here and [down] you go!\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"poster-img\" src=\"https:\/\/content.api.news\/v3\/images\/bin\/3afd2555b648fd9a6fa7a544f4984abf\" data-sctrack=\"op-poster-img\" alt=\"\u2018Stacked it\u2019 Hundreds report falling from pair of Zara pants\" fetchpriority=\"high\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Hundreds of others have flocked to the viral videos to share their similar experiences of the viral \u2018death pants\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI ended up in the emergency room because of these pants,\u201d one person shared.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBroken wrist and gash by my temple, I had to get the gash glued and arm cast for 6 weeks, right before vacation,\u201d they continued.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m 5\u201911 and still fell flat on my face and ended up in hospital because I thought I\u2019d broken my knee,\u201d said another.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOMG I broke my elbow wearing those trousers, thought I was the only one,\u201d shared a third.<\/p>\n<p>Others recounted having \u201cbruises everywhere\u201d, while another bluntly stated their \u201ctoe broke\u201d as a direct result of the pants.<\/p>\n<p>News.com.au has reached out to Zara for comment.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s not the first time the major global retailer has come under fire, having previously faced scrutiny over its labour conditions, ethical practices, and environmental waste.<\/p>\n<p>Despite this, as the flagship brand of the Inditex group, the company generates global revenues close to $70 billion annually.<\/p>\n<p>Founded in 1975 in Spain, the retail giant now operates nearly 3,000 stores globally.<\/p>\n<p><script async
