On Sunday evening, the New York Yankees<\/a> will complete their three-game series with the Los Angeles Dodgers<\/a> in the Bronx.<\/p>\n

They will look to avoid a sweep after losing each of the first two games.<\/p>\n

After the first game of the day, the Yankees announced the news that they have sent Jake Bird<\/a> to Triple-A.<\/p>\n

Bird let up five earned runs in Sunday\u2019s loss.<\/p>\n

The Yankees wrote (via X):<\/a> \u201cPrior to Game 2 of today\u2019s doubleheader, the Yankees made the following roster moves: \u2022 Appointed RHP Elmer Rodr\u00edguez<\/a> (#71) as their \u201c27th Man\u201d. \u2022 Recalled RHP Kervin Castro<\/a> (#74) from Triple-A Scranton\/Wilkes-Barre. \u2022 Optioned RHP Jake Bird to Triple-A Scranton\/Wilkes-Barre.\u201d<\/p>\n

Prior to Game 2 of today\u2019s doubleheader, the Yankees made the following roster moves:
