Code Sports<\/a>, are reportedly set to sign Anthony Seibold to become a senior assistant to head coach Willie Peters.<\/p>\nThe expansion club will reportedly welcome Seibold and his wife Hollie to their Port Moresby base for a tour in the coming days, hopeful of securing his services.<\/p>\n
While Seibold will then have to make a decision regarding his future, the former Sea Eagles boss is reportedly likely to sign on.<\/p>\n
The former Broncos head coach was sacked by Manly after dismal start to their 2026 campaign, with Kieran Foran being hired as an interim and then full-time head coach after a positive run.<\/p>\n

The Chiefs have already made headlines this week after Joey Manu was spotted touring their facilities, with the PNG club hopeful of adding the former Rooster to their ranks.<\/p>\n
Zac Lomax has also been linked with the Chiefs, while Jarome Luai, Connor Watson, Alex Johnston and Matty Lees have already signed on.<\/p>\n
Seibold already has a relationship with Peters, with the pair working together at the Rabbitohs in 2018.<\/p>\n
Since his departure from the Sea Eagles, Seibold has spent time at a consultant to AFL club Collingwood\u2019s coaching staff.<\/p>\n
BULLDOGS VETERAN\u2019S CAREER CALL<\/p>\n
Bulldogs outside back Marcelo Montoya has made the decision to retire from the sport effective immediately. <\/p>\n
Montoya had planned to retire at season\u2019s end, but as he said via a club-issued statement, the 30-year-old\u2019s body isn\u2019t able to \u201ckeep up with the rigours of first grade footy anymore\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cI want to thank the Bulldogs for giving me my NRL debut back in 2017 and for bringing me back home to allow me to finish my career where it started,\u201d Montoya said.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m excited to begin my next chapter – and will be cheering the boys on as they prepare for a big back end of the season.\u201d <\/p>\n
Montoya will remain at the club in a player wellbeing role.<\/p>\n
He\u2019ll also assist the club\u2019s pathways coaches.<\/p>\n
Montoya played in 162 NRL games, 80 for the Bulldogs and 82 for the Warriors, scoring a total of 58 tries.<\/p>\n
