{"id":814631,"date":"2026-07-21T15:40:11","date_gmt":"2026-07-21T15:40:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/814631\/"},"modified":"2026-07-21T15:40:11","modified_gmt":"2026-07-21T15:40:11","slug":"jon-rahm-offers-telling-response-on-his-liv-golf-future","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/814631\/","title":{"rendered":"Jon Rahm offers telling response on his LIV Golf future"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\t\tAhead of LIV Golf\u2019s return this week, Jon Rahm was asked for an update on the league\u2019s precarious future\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Jon Rahm has stopped short of confirming whether he will be a LIV Golf player next season.  <\/p>\n<p>Rahm was directly asked about LIV\u2019s future here at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.todays-golfer.com\/news-and-events\/tour-news\/2026-liv-golf-uk-preview\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">league\u2019s event at JCB Golf &amp; Country Club<\/a> in England\u2019s Staffordshire, where the league is returning after a seven-week break.<\/p>\n<p>The league is searching for the $300 million in funding it requires to remain operational next season, with the clock now ticking for investment after the retreat of Saudi Arabia\u2019s sovereign wealth fund.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re in contact with them,\u201d Rahm said when asked whether he had clarity on his future. \u201cWe know a lot of what\u2019s going on. Not that I can share with you guys right now.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He continued: \u201cI\u2019m always optimistic. I play a game for a living. I can\u2019t really be too upset about how things are going in life. Even though I\u2019m very frustrated on the course very often, off the course I\u2019m very different to what a lot of people think.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>So would Rahm expect to play LIV Golf in 2027?
