\n\tTemper City<\/a> sends its first entry on Billboard\u2019s Alternative Airplay<\/a> chart to No. 1, as \u201cSelf Aware\u201d attains the top spot on the survey dated July 25.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe trio is the sixth act to lead Alternative Airplay for the first time in 2026, following Young the Giant<\/a> (\u201cDifferent Kind of Love\u201d), Edgehill<\/a> (\u201cDoubletake\u201d), YUNGBLUD<\/a> (\u201cZombie\u201d), The Paradox<\/a> (\u201cGet the Message\u201d) and Good Charlotte<\/a> (as featured on Yellowcard<\/a>\u2019s \u201cBedroom Posters\u201d). Of those, Edgehill and The Paradox, like Temper City, led in their first appearances on the chart. In 2025, 10 acts earned maiden leaders.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cSelf Aware\u201d reigns in its 14th week, completing the quickest rise to No. 1 for an act with a first hit on the chart since sombr<\/a>\u2019s \u201cBack to Friends\u201d led in its 10th frame in June 2025.<\/p>\n

\n\tConcurrently, \u201cSelf Aware\u201d remains at its No. 2 high on the all-rock-format, audience-based Rock & Alternative Airplay<\/a> chart with 4.4 million audience impressions in the week ending July 16, a gain of 23%, according to Luminate.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe track also ranks at No. 9 on the multimetric Hot Rock & Alternative Songs<\/a> and reaches the top half of the all-genre Billboard Hot 100<\/a> (No. 47). It accumulated 6.3 million chart-eligible streams and 4.5 million audience impressions in the United States July 10-16.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cSelf Aware\u201d is currently not just a standalone single for Temper City, it\u2019s the only song that the band has released to date. All three members are Israeli and formed the act in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n
