Anne Hathaway<\/a> broke down in tears during a recent appearance on The View, and it was all thanks to Whoopi Goldberg<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The 43-year-old actress was there alongside fellow The Odyssey<\/a> co-star Matt Damon<\/a> and director Christopher Nolan<\/a>, when the attention turned to her career.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Anne Hathaway broke down during a recent appearance on The View, over comments from host Whoopi Goldberg. \u00a0ABC<\/p>\n

\u201cAnne Hathaway, it\u2019s been wonderful watching you,\u201d the Sister Act star, 70, told Hathaway.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s been wonderful watching you grow up. And you have just blossomed, turned into this fabulous actress.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Hathaway put her hands over her face and started to tea up.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cNo, don\u2019t!\u201d the Devil Wears Prada<\/a> star replied.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cGirl! Yes! Yes! You need to know. You need to know,\u201d Goldberg continued.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s something you need to know and remember.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hathaway, who is currently pregnant with her third child<\/a>, joked that she couldn\u2019t even blame her reaction on pregnancy hormones.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019d be crying [even] if I wasn\u2019t pregnant right now! I don\u2019t even know what to say. Thank you. You know how I feel about you,\u201d she said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Damon and Hathaway play Odysseus and Penelope in The Odyssey, which recently hit cinemas.\u00a0Gareth Cattermole<\/p>\n

But it wasn\u2019t all about Hathaway, because Goldberg turned her attention to Damon and gushed about how much she adored meeting him for the first time at the Oscars in 2016.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI know you know my family because they lived around the corner from y\u2019all, and you feel like home,\u201d she told him.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThank you for always being upright and great and fabulous in what you do.\u201d<\/p>\n
