THE best part of 18 months on from his unceremonious split with the Blanchard Racing Team, Aaron Love<\/a> will be back racing a Supercar.<\/p>\n

The West Australian native will compete in the Perth and Sandown rounds of Super2 with Eggleston Motorsport, which is returning to running five cars to accommodate the 24-year-old.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are excited to have Aaron apart of the team for the Perth and Sandown rounds, and help him get back into the Supercar racing scene,\u201d said team co-owner Rachael Eggleston.<\/p>\n

\u201cBeing a proud West Australian, it\u2019s a great place for him to get back in the seat, he will have a lot of support.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe competed against Aaron in 2023 when he ran in Super2, he was super-fast back then and I am sure it\u2019s no different now! I think he will come into this round with a lot more experience under his belt and be hungry to get some solid results.<\/p>\n

\u201cHis Supercar journey is unfinished business, and we hope to be a place where he can not only get some strong results but enjoy his racing and get the support he needs to crack back into the Supercar scene for the future.\u201d<\/p>\n

Love was one of several hot talents who competed in the 2023 Super2 Series, joining Kai Allen<\/a>, Ryan Wood<\/a>, Cooper Murray<\/a> and Zak Best<\/a> as race winners from that season.<\/p>\n

He\u2019d already proven himself in Porsches before then, but Love\u2019s rapid-fire rise to the main game \u2013 at a time when BRT was experiencing growing pains associated with expansion \u2013 did not deliver the results desired by either party.<\/p>\n

He barely survived the 2024 season and then parted ways following the opening round of 2025, with Aaron Cameron<\/a> taking over at the wheel of the #3 Mustang.<\/p>\n

After stepping away from the spotlight for a period, Love returned to national-level competition in Trans Am and then Carrera Cup, faring well in both.<\/p>\n

He holds fourth in this year\u2019s Carrera Cup standings.<\/p>\n

Love tested a #26 Eggleston Commodore yesterday at Winton Motor Raceway and will slot in alongside the Victorian squad\u2019s regular quartet of Bayley Hall<\/a>, Cody Burcher<\/a>, Bradi Owen<\/a> and Elliott Cleary<\/a> for the July 31-August 2 meeting at Wanneroo.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s great to have the opportunity to jump back into a Supercar, this time being back in a Super2 car and also making the switch to GM is cool as I grew up a Holden fan,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cSupercars is where I ultimately want to be, I\u2019ve been there before I know how hard it is, let alone getting there.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo be a part of Egglestons and have the support from Rachael and Ben for the two rounds is a really cool opportunity.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019ve helped groom a lot of drivers into Supercars, and successful ones at that, so I can be pretty confident they run a tight ship and a good program.<\/p>\n

\u201cPerth and Sandown are two tracks that I love going to, both being quite unique, so we will be putting our best foot forward and aiming for a strong performance.\u201d<\/p>\n

Love does not currently have a co-drive for the 2026 Supercars enduros.<\/p>\n
