Real Housewives of Orange County<\/a> star Jeana Keough has been forced to put her chemo and radiation treatment on pause after doctors discovered a deep vein thrombosis (DVT) clot in her leg and an infection. <\/p>\n

Her daughter, Kara<\/a>, shared the news via a post on Instagram<\/a>, just days after revealing her mum\u2019s tongue cancer<\/a> diagnosis. <\/p>\n

Just days after revealing her cancer diagnosis, Jeana Keough has been hit by another health issue. \u00a0Instagram\/@karakeoughboz<\/p>\n

\u201cJeana was scheduled to get the G-tube this morning so she can get some nutrition. She hasn\u2019t been able to eat a meal for 2 weeks, so she\u2019s extremely depleted,\u201d Kara wrote on Instagram. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe uncovered a DVT clot in her leg, and now an infection, too. The feeding tube can\u2019t be put directly into her stomach until there\u2019s clarity on the infection. <\/p>\n

\u201cChemo and radiation is temporarily paused so we can figure this out but you better believe Jeana is insisting she only had a \u2018fake fever\u2019 and that she\u2019s fine to continue with the surgery.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kara asked for followers to pray that the infection clears and that her mum can get surgery as soon as possible, joking that \u201changry Jeana\u201d might \u201cmurder someone\u201d.<\/p>\n

Kara initially shared the news of her mum\u2019s cancer diagnosis on July 19, setting up a GoFundMe to help pay for treatment. <\/p>\n

On the fundraiser page, Kara explained that her mum had had a painful spot on her tongue and had even gone to the dentist several time to get it fixed, assuming that a tooth had been rubbing against it. <\/p>\n

\u201cI asked her how long the sore had been there. She paused, thought about it, and realised it had been nearly a year. A biopsy confirmed our worst fear: squamous cell carcinoma of the tongue,\u201d the page reads. <\/p>\n

Jeana underwent surgery to remove the cancer, but was then recommended to undergo a second surgery to remove lymph nodes after doctors discovered that the cancer had spread. <\/p>\n

\u00a0\u201cJeana is now in her fifth week of chemotherapy, radiation, and immunotherapy. The treatments are relentless,\u201d the page continued.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe is exhausted, struggling to stay awake, and becoming malnourished because the pain in her tongue and throat makes swallowing even the smallest bites or sips incredibly difficult. <\/p>\n

\u201cEvery day is a battle just to get enough nutrition and hydration to continue treatment.\u201d<\/p>\n
