{"id":815966,"date":"2026-07-22T06:21:13","date_gmt":"2026-07-22T06:21:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/815966\/"},"modified":"2026-07-22T06:21:13","modified_gmt":"2026-07-22T06:21:13","slug":"second-teaser-trailer-kids-horror-buddy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/815966\/","title":{"rendered":"Second Teaser Trailer: Kids Horror &#8220;Buddy&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>            <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/second-teaser-trailer-kids-horror-buddy.jpg\" data-caption=\"Roadside Attractions\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" class=\"entry-thumb td-modal-image\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/second-teaser-trailer-kids-horror-buddy.jpg\"   alt=\"\" title=\"second-teaser-trailer-kids-horror-buddy\"\/><\/a>Roadside Attractions<\/p>\n<p>Roadside Attractions has unveiled a second teaser trailer for \u201cBuddy,\u201d the new horror feature which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year.<\/p>\n<p>The project hails from filmmaker Casper Kelly, the man responsible for the iconic \u201cToo Many Cooks\u201d short as well as the \u201cAdult Swim Yule Log\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The story unfolds in 1999 where a group of amnesiac children live in the episodic world of \u201cIt\u2019s Buddy!\u201d, a children\u2019s television show hosted by the tyrannical Buddy (Key), a bright orange, humanoid unicorn with a purple heart on his chest who lives in his wacky clubhouse.<\/p>\n<p>When the children begin to defy their captor after one of the kids disappears, Buddy grinds his teeth and sends them on a perilous journey to the mythical Diamond City.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, in the real world, traumatised suburban mother Grace (Cristin Milioti) is drawn into Buddy\u2019s abomination. Delaney Quinn, Topher Grace, Keegan-Michael Key, Michael Shannon, and Patton Oswalt also star.<\/p>\n<p>Kelly directed the film and co-wrote the script with Jamie King. Tyler Davidson, Drew Sykes, Raphael Margules, J.D.
