Having worked remotely in recent events, Mayer will make her first appearance will the team at Hidden Valley for Round 4.<\/p>\n

The decorated engineer joined the team having messaged Radburn following the reveal of the squad, eager to help push the team forward.<\/p>\n

\u201cI messaged Imogen to offer my assistance because it\u2019s not only driver who is female, it\u2019s the whole racing team,\u201d said Mayer.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s quite impressive to put together nowadays and it\u2019s not just the idea of finding females to be part of it, but getting the best females to perform on the event itself.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m super excited to be able to join and hopefully help out to get a good result.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think by bringing some race engineering experience within the team will build and grow around Imogen. I will be able to help her driving and coach her on-track, which will be a benefit to Imogen as well as her team.\u201d<\/p>\n

Radburn made the switch from an open wheel pathway into tin tops this year, a transition which has had its hurdles.<\/p>\n

She sits sixth in the standings after three rounds with a solid run of top 10 results in recent races.<\/p>\n

Radburn is still yet to break into the top five, with a best finish of sixth achieved three times.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor Romy to call me up and I ask if she could come to Darwin was a dream come true for not only myself, but the team as well,\u201d said Radburn.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve had Romy on the phone for the last few rounds and to have her on the ground will be awesome.<\/p>\n

Romy\u2019s not just an engineer, she\u2019s a driver coach, the works and it will be invaluable to have someone of her experience part of the team.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve learnt a lot so far from a driving side and also away from the track through running my own team with how that works.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think this has been the best thing we\u2019ve done and it\u2019s about finishing the races.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re getting closer and closer to the frontrunners through our improvements at each round.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mayer brings a wealth of experience in touring car and GT racing.<\/p>\n

Having been a part of Mercedes-AMG\u2019s DTM program, Mayer also worked as the data and performance engineer for Jamie Whincup\u2019s record-setting seventh Supercars championship in 2017.<\/p>\n

Mayer moved into Triple Eight\u2019s GT World Challenge Australia programme in 2019, spearheading the operation before a shift back into Supercars with PremiAir in 2023.<\/p>\n

As James Golding\u2019s race engineer, Mayer oversaw the team\u2019s first pole position at Hidden Valley, and first podium at Sandown.<\/p>\n
