{"id":817041,"date":"2026-07-22T18:03:09","date_gmt":"2026-07-22T18:03:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/817041\/"},"modified":"2026-07-22T18:03:09","modified_gmt":"2026-07-22T18:03:09","slug":"strictly-come-dancing-star-george-clarke-jokes-about-revel-horwood-critique","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/817041\/","title":{"rendered":"Strictly Come Dancing star George Clarke jokes about Revel Horwood critique"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">A ceremony to honour Clarke and 1,500 BSU graduates was held at the Forum in Bath earlier.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">In his acceptance speech, Clarke said: &#8220;I&#8217;d like to firstly thank Bath Spa University for the immense privilege of being given this honorary doctorate.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;I&#8217;d also like to congratulate everyone today on receiving their real-life degrees.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Clarke quickly established his presence online in 2019, while he studied for a degree in Sports and Exercise Science at the University of Exeter.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Over the years, he has built up a social media following, collaborated with global brands, co-hosted the hit podcast The Useless Hotline and toured across the UK and Australia.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Clarke was also appointed as an ambassador for charity Encephalitis International, following his mother&#8217;s previous diagnosis.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A ceremony to honour Clarke and 1,500 BSU graduates was held at the Forum in Bath earlier.
