Jaron Ennis<\/a> is hoping to dominate this new generation of boxing following the retirement of Terence Crawford<\/a>, and now Shakur Stevenson<\/a>, who has sparred both men, has compared the power of \u2018Boots\u2019 and \u2018Bud\u2019.<\/p>\n

Ennis had been pursuing a shot at Crawford before the Omaha-born sensation hung up the gloves after a career-defining win against Canelo Alvarez back in September, with some fans believing that the Philadelphian could have been the man to hand Crawford his first defeat.<\/p>\n

It now seems as though that fight will never take place, with Crawford himself having labelled this as \u2018The Boots Era\u2019<\/a> after he retired from the sport.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Last month, Ennis became a two-division unified world champion by halting Xander Zayas<\/a> to capture the WBA and WBO super-welterweight world titles and he is now focussed on the undisputed crown, as he looks to climb the pound-for-pound rankings.<\/p>\n

Speaking on X<\/a>, pound-for-pound rival Shakur Stevenson admitted that Ennis\u2019 power can be compared to Crawford\u2019s, but that they are different kinds of punchers.<\/p>\n

\u201cBoots and Bud was the hardest punchers I sparred with, but it\u2019s very different power.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cBud\u2019s s**t thudding like boom!! Boots\u2019 s**t is sharp as f**k, like a bullet is coming, if that makes sense. Neither you want to let punch you.\u201d<\/p>\n
