Jake Paul is interested in pursuing an NFL career after boxing, and he’s confident that he can step on a professional field someday, per an interview with Front Office Sports that aired Wednesday. Furthermore, Paul stated that teams are “interested” in his services.<\/p>\n
“I mean, it’s pretty simple. Just like when I started boxing, it’s funny to see the tweet-and-deleters out there, the non-believers, the naysayers, shout out to Drake,” Paul said when asked about his plan to get to the league.<\/p>\n
“I think there’s a lot of super-mediocrity in the NFL, a lot of not good athletes, a lot of people dropping passes on a consistent basis. I have better hands than them, I’m faster than them, I’m stronger than them, I work harder than them.<\/p>\n
“Really all it’s gonna take is me after boxing, practicing some routes. I have a couple teams and coaches that I’ve talked to that are interested in bringing me on to the team. It’s really going to be quite easy.”<\/p>\n
Paul was also asked if he had a “dream team” in mind.<\/p>\n
“I mean, I’d love to go to the Cleveland Browns, been a Browns fan my whole entire life. My mom is a diehard Browns fan, and I think they could use some good receivers over there.<\/p>\n

The 29-year-old Paul is currently in the midst of his professional boxing career. He holds a record of 12-2 with seven knockouts. He has a few wins against current or former MMA fighters under his belt, including Tyron Woodley (twice), Nate Diaz, Anderson Silva and Ben Askren.<\/p>\n
His last matchup was against former two-time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, who beat Paul via sixth-round knockout.<\/p>\n
The 6’1″ Paul has previously mentioned his NFL hopes, saying that he’d like to play slot receiver<\/a>. His listed weight has varied based on his opponent in the ring. He weighed in at 216.6 pounds<\/a> against Joshua, for example.<\/p>\n
