ANDR\u00c9 Heimgartner isn\u2019t going anywhere anytime soon.<\/p>\n

In the latest official, albeit expected, piece of the Supercars silly season puzzle, Heimgartner has confirmed to V8 Sleuth that he has quietly extended his Brad Jones Racing contract.<\/p>\n

The Kiwi initially joined the then-Holden squad in 2022 on a three-year deal.<\/p>\n

Another two years were tacked on along the way, making 2026 the most recent expiry date made publicly available.<\/p>\n

However, he\u2019s now under lock-and-key through 2028, taking him unequivocally out of the market for the short term.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ll be here for at least another couple of years,\u201d Heimgartner told V8 Sleuth.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m pretty loyal to Brad.<\/p>\n

\u201cSince I joined the team I always thought there was potential to do great things. We\u2019ve got all the ingredients, it\u2019s just the recipe we haven\u2019t landed on yet.<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel like I\u2019m only getting better in many respects and we showed in Tasmania that when I get put in a position where I can win, I can execute as good as anyone on the grid under immense pressure.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m working as hard as I ever have and I feel like things are going in the right direction. It\u2019s just one of those things where it doesn\u2019t happen overnight.\u201d<\/p>\n

Heimgartner has taken over from his #8 predecessor Nick Percat<\/a> as the top dog at BJR, and is responsible for its past two race wins: its only victory with Chevrolet at Taup\u014d 2024, and its first with Toyota this May at Symmons Plains.<\/p>\n

The 31-year-old has previously raced full-time in Supercars for Prodrive Racing Australia\/Super Black, Lucas Dumbrell Motorsport and Kelly Racing\/Kelly Grove Racing.<\/p>\n

Teammate Cameron Hill<\/a> joined BJR on a two-year deal through 2027, while Macauley Jones<\/a>\u2019 arrangement is thought to be year-by-year.<\/p>\n
