One of the most-requested remakes or remasters for years now is Bloodborne. FromSoftware\u2019s gothic, dystopian Soulslike is a classic, and Shuhei Yoshida can\u2019t understand why no one has modernized it further.<\/p>\n

Bloodborne \u2018Remastered\u2019 is an unofficial mod<\/a>, and it makes the game play and look better than it ever has.<\/p>\n

In terms of an official coat of paint, we\u2019re as close to it now as we were a few years ago\u2014nowhere.<\/p>\n

Bloodborne Remaster Needs to Happen<\/p>\n

We have two Bloodborne movies in development<\/a>, but no game remaster or remake.<\/p>\n

The closest we\u2019ve been is learning that Bluepoint pitched a Bloodborne remake before the team was shut down<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Industry legend Shuhei Yoshida<\/a> has now weighed in on the game, and has tried to make sense of the situation through a CEDEC 2026 Keynote Speech<\/a> Broadcast (via Genki<\/a>):<\/p>\n

\u201cThe game [Bloodborne] has a lot of fans all over the world, but there\u2019s no PS5 version. PlayStation first-party teams are constantly releasing remasters and such, why aren\u2019t they releasing this one?! A PC version hasn\u2019t been released, \u2018why hasn\u2019t it been released?!\u2019 is what I also get asked often. Well, that is considered a mystery. Yes. So, it might be released in the future, or it might not. A sequel might be made, or it might not. As a fan, I really hope it does get released.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Demon\u2019s Souls Remake was a success, so it does beggar belief as to why a Bloddborne Remake hasn\u2019t happened yet, and seemingly won\u2019t, if things carry on.<\/p>\n

All we can do is cross every finger and toe and hope that an official Bloodborne Remake project is greenlit, and we don\u2019t all have to spend all day in our mental Hunter\u2019s Dream picturing it.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
