We\u00a0recruited him heavily\u00a0out of high\u00a0school, but he\u00a0ultimately chose Oklahoma. When he entered\u00a0the transfer portal, it took me\u00a0about 10 seconds\u00a0to get on\u00a0the phone and\u00a0try to bring\u00a0him to Oregon. I expect him\u00a0to make a\u00a0big impact for\u00a0us.<\/p>\n<p data-assistant-stream-block=\"data-assistant-stream-block-index=4\">Anderson competed in\u00a0three tournaments as\u00a0a freshman for\u00a0the Sooners before\u00a0suffering a season-ending injury early\u00a0in the spring. The Ventura, California native also recorded\u00a0a runner-up\u00a0finish at the\u00a0Nipomo Amateur Championship\u00a0in January.<\/p>\n<p data-assistant-stream-block=\"data-assistant-stream-block-index=5\">A former top-100 recruit in\u00a0the Class of\u00a02025, Anderson was\u00a0ranked No. 78\u00a0nationally by Junior\u00a0Golf Scoreboard and\u00a0won three Patrick\u00a0Cantlay Series titles.<\/p>\n<p data-assistant-stream-block=\"data-assistant-stream-block-index=6\">Anderson tied the\u00a0Toyota Tour Cup\u00a0record with a\u00a010-under 61, matching NCAA individual\u00a0champion\u00a0Matt Wolff for\u00a0the lowest round\u00a0in tournament history.
