The Texan\u2019s anticipated comeback also arrives amid Tszyu\u2019s suggestions this week that the man who once earned a $20 million purse is out of money, and is only here to refill his piggy bank once more.<\/p>\n
Asked by Fox Sports Australia about that after Friday\u2019s press conference, Spence immediately urged Tszyu to put his money where his mouth is — and bet on the fact his bank balance is running low.<\/p>\n
The Texan also alluded to making \u201cmillions\u201d for Sunday\u2019s fight, which is being overseen by Australian promoters No Limit.<\/p>\n
Asked at one point about not feeling pressure on the eve of his return, Spence said: \u201cPressure is something you create in your mind. It\u2019s a mentality.<\/p>\n
\u201cI don\u2019t have any pressure on me. Pressure is people having no food to eat, that\u2019s pressure. There ain\u2019t no pressure in making millions of dollars to fight another man. What\u2019s the pressure in that?\u201d<\/p>\n
And as for Tszyu saying you\u2019re back due to money troubles?<\/p>\n
\u201cWe can bet some money,\u201d Spence replied with a grin. \u201cCheck each other\u2019s bank accounts and see.\u201d<\/p>\n

Of course, Spence would be keen to win back some money on the Aussie.<\/p>\n
Three years ago, the American famously posted that he was betting $10,000 on Tony Harrison when he faced Tszyu, only to see his countryman suffer a devastating title loss. <\/p>\n
Asked though, how his own bank account might compare with the one belonging to Tszyu, Spence continued: \u201cDunno, but we can check and see. And if I\u2019m broke then somebody got to pay up.\u201d<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Tszyu was also asked if he was surprised by the fact no drug testing has been signed off for this fight, especially given Spence has been out of the sport for such an extended period.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat\u2019s a good question,\u201d the former super welterweight champ replied. \u201cI never thought of that, ey.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut there should be drug testing. I haven\u2019t been drug tested either. It\u2019s interesting.\u201d<\/p>\n
Asked if he would still like to see something done, he continued: \u201cLook, I\u2019m not going to accuse him, or [suggest] that he\u2019s been doing something. But I dunno. I\u2019ve got answer.\u201d<\/p>\n
Tszyu also questioned Spence\u2019s recent claims that he has spent his entire layoff remaining in shape.<\/p>\n
\u201cHow many holidays has he gone on?\u201d the Sydneysider said with a laugh. \u201cHe\u2019s been with his kids, his family, there is a lot more to life than boxing, let\u2019s just say that.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut in my life, what I\u2019m going through, boxing is number one, number two and number three. And I hope it will change one day. Hopefully soon.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut we\u2019re on different paths.\u201d<\/p>\n
After a brief pause, \u2018The Phoenix\u2019 then went again.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen you make $20 million on one fight, of course your perspective is going to change,\u201d he continued. \u201cYou\u2019re going to train, go to the gym, to feel good. Not to be a warrior.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut when I\u2019ve lost, I\u2019ve gone back, to back, to back \u2026 I\u2019ve kept going. Because I need to get to the very top. [Laughs] Until I make my $20 million for a fight.\u201d<\/p>\n
