Newcastle United Women are delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Mollie Lambert.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Mollie joins the Magpies having spent the last six years with fellow Barclays Women\u2019s Super League 2 side Durham.<\/p>\n
During her time with the Wildcats, the 28-year-old made 157 appearances, scoring 23 times.<\/p>\n
Prior to a spell with Sunderland, Mollie spent a year and a half with United, being named club captain for the 2016\/17 season.<\/p>\n
Mollie said: \u201cIt\u2019s a huge club, a huge move, and I\u2019m really looking forward to it. The club\u2019s ambitions and goals, working under Tanya herself, the answers were all there. It is amazing to be part of it and I can\u2019t wait to be involved in the journey ahead.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis next move was important for me. I want to win things and look back on my career knowing I\u2019ve done myself proud.\u201d<\/p>\n
Manager, Tanya Oxtoby, added: \u201cMollie has spent her career playing in the north east, and having been at this club before, understands what it means to the fans and the city.<\/p>\n
