href=\"https:\/\/www.nine.com.au\/topic\/gold-coast-a72\" class=\"sc-eRZcwA dNXoqI\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Gold Coast<\/a> crash, with the driver walking away apparently without a scratch.<\/p>\n<p>Witnesses heard a car accelerating along the Mermaid Waters canal before it crashed on Rio Vista Boulevard just after 9.00am on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/5b8ad65cd69800c656201cff99b4f486c6a44a79d541cd27b3d02c5ceab6ffe2.jpeg\"  width=\"100%\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"_0b53bae146db0b62 _7475dd3391ee1518\" style=\"--text-color:var(--color-text-secondary)\">The luxury vehicle was left in pieces following the early morning smash. \u00a09News<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI just heard a fairly prominent acceleration, followed by an enormous bang,\u201d Nick Smith said.<\/p>\n<p>The vehicle \u2013 a Ferrari SF90 Spider valued between $1 million and $1.5 million \u2013 allegedly left a nearby roundabout and mounted the curb before smashing into a tree.<\/p>\n<p>Witness Mitch O\u2019Leary described the aftermath as \u201cconfronting\u201d, saying that seeing the wrecked luxury vehicle was like watching \u201ca house on wheels\u201d destroyed.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nine.com.au\/australia-news\/a-current-affair\/sea-world-crash-families-tell-of-loss-beyond-measure-20260724-p60ie3.html\" class=\"sc-eRZcwA dNXoqI\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Gold Coast<\/a> property influencer Sam Gordon was behind the wheel and managed to step out of the wreckage unscathed.<\/p>\n<p>Witnesses reported seeing him calmly picking up debris from the street shortly after the impact.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe driver was speaking to a tow truck driver, amazingly very composed,\u201d Smith said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe didn\u2019t appear to be injured at all, but the carnage was incredible.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/db7fe8871978a81a2e2ef72c946b4285e4eddf7819ef05b38342cf16d71c168e.jpeg\"  width=\"100%\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"_0b53bae146db0b62 _7475dd3391ee1518\" style=\"--text-color:var(--color-text-secondary)\">Gordon, who regularly posted videos of his dream car to his social media followers, took to Instagram following the crash.\u00a09News<\/p>\n<p>The crash occurred in a 60km\/h zone along a stretch of road where council had recently implemented safety measures.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve got a traffic island just near the roundabout there, which is designed to reduce speed,\u201d Gold Coast Councillor Nick Marshall said.<\/p>\n<p>Gordon, who regularly posted videos of his dream car to his 26,000 social media followers since buying it last year, took to Instagram following the crash.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJust wanted to let everyone know I\u2019m all good, I\u2019m all sweet,\u201d Gordon
