\n Hawthorn has provided the following injury update on Noah Mraz.\n <\/p>\n
Hawthorn defender Noah Mraz has spent the night in hospital after suffering a kidney injury in Saturday\u2019s Round 20 match against Essendon.<\/p>\n
Mraz reported mild abdominal pain after the match and, out of an abundance of caution, was sent to hospital for further testing.<\/p>\n
Test results have revealed a low-grade kidney laceration.<\/p>\n
Hawthorn Head Doctor Liam West said Mraz was assessed post-game and, after experiencing further discomfort, was sent to hospital.<\/p>\n
\u201cNoah\u2019s health and wellbeing is our number one priority. As soon as it became apparent that he had the abdominal pain, we arranged for him to go to hospital for further testing,\u201d West said.<\/p>\n
\u201cAt this stage, we don\u2019t believe Noah will require surgery; however, he will not be available for a number of weeks.”<\/p>\n
