He showed off his full range of world class Muay Thai skills, battering Damian Rzepecki with kicks and elbows <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mmamania.com\/ufc-results\/459914\/ufc-abu-dhabi-results-sooo-about-last-night-ankalaev-vs-guskov\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">en route to a 30-27&#215;3 decision.<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1upudxki _174s0un1 _174s0un0 _1mt21p01\">Following the win, Zaynukov said there was no choice but to punish Rzepecki for suggesting it was a team vs. team fight.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1upudxki _174s0un1 _174s0un0 _1mt21p01\">\u201cI had to live up to those expectations, because a lot was said by my opponent,\u201d he said in the cage. \u201cHe said he was from Ilia Topuria\u2019s team. But they don\u2019t know that we\u2019re from Khabib Nurmagomedov\u2019s team, from Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov\u2019s school. It doesn\u2019t matter who I fight. I\u2019m ready for anyone!\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1upudxki _174s0un1 _174s0un0 _1mt21p01\">\u201cThey just don\u2019t know the type of life that we have in Makhachkala,\u201d Zaynukov responded. \u201cThey haven\u2019t seen life the way the way we live it over there. I think there\u2019s no chance, they have no chance to come out of that room because what I saw and the things that I\u2019ve seen, there\u2019s no question.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1upudxki _174s0un1 _174s0un0 _1mt21p01\">\u201cThere\u2019s no playing games there or acting for the camera or something like that. Everything is very, very much different over there. It\u2019s just that we don\u2019t really like to bring the trash outside the house. We don\u2019t say things like that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1upudxki _174s0un1 _174s0un0 _1mt21p01\">Zaynukov also relayed how his coaches Khabib Nurmagomedov and Islam Makhachev reacted to his dominant win in Abu Dhabi.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1upudxki _174s0un1 _174s0un0 _1mt21p01\">\u201cYeah, we spoke immediately after I got out of the cage,\u201d he replied. \u201cKhabib said that it was a great fight, an exciting fight, but \u2018You missed a takedown and that\u2019s not okay.\u2019 Islam also just said congratulations, that it was a fun, exciting fight. But they kind of expected that this was going to be that type of fight, a fun, exciting fight.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1upudxki _174s0un1 _174s0un0 _1mt21p01\">It certainly was that, and here\u2019s hoping \u201cChanko\u201d gets an opportunity to fight again soon.
