{"id":826433,"date":"2026-07-27T07:06:09","date_gmt":"2026-07-27T07:06:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/826433\/"},"modified":"2026-07-27T07:06:09","modified_gmt":"2026-07-27T07:06:09","slug":"wa-news-live-tributes-flow-two-men-killed-in-karratha-crash-wa-man-stabs-partner-drives-head-on-into-another-car-in-tasmania","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/826433\/","title":{"rendered":"WA news LIVE: Tributes flow two men killed in Karratha crash; WA man stabs partner, drives head-on into another car in Tasmania"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>WA Liberal leader Basil Zempilas has pledged his party will \u201cget on and build\u201d the Karnup train station if elected to government at the nest state election.<\/p>\n<p>While a WA election is not expected to take place until 2029, Zempilas said the station had been identified as a priority by the party after the state government had failed to deliver the project.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis was first promised by Labor in 2013, promised again in 2015, promised again in 2017 when they got into government, and promised at the 2021 election,\u201d Zempilas said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd still here we are with absolutely nothing for the people of Karnup and surrounding suburbs to show for it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt will make a huge difference to these people.
