LIV Golf faces a completely uncertain future right now.<\/p>\n

It was back in April when Saudi Arabia\u2019s PIF announced that they would no longer be funding the LIV Golf league.<\/p>\n

That came as a devastating blow to LIV Golf and, of course, their players.<\/p>\n

Now LIV Golf<\/a> CEO Scott O\u2019Neil<\/a> is desperately trying to secure fresh investment in the hope of preventing the league from folding.<\/p>\n

As a result of the uncertainty surrounding the league, their biggest star, Bryson DeChambeau, is still yet to sign a new deal.<\/p>\n

LIV Golf\u2019s Bryson DeChambeau allegedly spoke with PGA Tour officials<\/a> during The Masters in order to gauge how a potential return would look.<\/p>\n

And as bleak as things looked already, LIV has just been dealt yet another body-blow.<\/p>\n

LIV Golf could suffer another \u2018big hit\u2019 as consequence of the PGA Tour\u2019s new deal<\/p>\n

The PGA Tour announced a partnership with the Asian Tour<\/a> last week.<\/p>\n

The best players on the Asian circuit will earn places on the DP World Tour with a number of events set to be co-sanctioned.<\/p>\n

Then those players will have the opportunity to earn their PGA Tour cards through the dual membership scheme.<\/p>\n

And golf journalist Ryan Lavner believes that could be a major problem for LIV Golf over the next six months.<\/p>\n

He shared a warning for LIV Golf when speaking on The Golf Channel Podcast with Rex and Lav<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cLIV CEO Scott O\u2019Neil had been targeting those national opens as being integral to what LIV Golf was going to be going forward and now having those stripped away, I am thinking of Singapore and Hong Kong in particular, when they are in the market for new investors \u2013 having the Asian Tour part of that sales pitch [was beneficial]. So it was certainly a hit,\u201c he explained.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe second one is how it relates to the world golf rankings. This year LIV Golf players have been receiving reduced points because of their tournaments in large part because they did have this opening, they did have this promotion and relegation between these two tours.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe OGWR has the opportunity at the beginning of 2027 to reevaluate LIV Golf\u2019s standing as it relates to receiving world ranking points. Without this pathway you could see a U-turn as it relates to world ranking points. Which, again, if you are an investor looking at LIV Golf for 2027, that would certainly be a big hit there.\u201c<\/p>\n

World ranking issues for LIV Golf<\/p>\n

With the PGA Tour striking a deal with the Asian Tour, LIV will be left with only its own standalone Promotions qualifying event as a pathway to their league.<\/p>\n

As such, their hopes of retaining their world ranking points will significantly decrease.<\/p>\n

LIV Golf may or may not be here next year.<\/p>\n

However, if they do manage to hang around, it seems almost certain that they will be operating on a much smaller scale.<\/p>\n

And without world ranking points on offer, the best players in the world will undoubtedly want to ply their trades elsewhere.<\/p>\n

The PGA Tour joining forces with the Asian Tour was another brilliant chess move by Brian Rolapp.<\/p>\n
