Apple is still working on updates to iOS 26 before the anticipated reveal of iOS 27 in June.<\/p>\n

Now that people have begun experimenting with the iOS 27 public beta<\/a>, a lot of attention is on the features coming later this year, like Siri AI<\/a>, when Apple revamps its operating systems. But for most people right now, the more important focus is on the just-released iOS 26.6 update, which fixes bugs and resolves security issues on the iPhone<\/a> and other devices.<\/p>\n

Also available are iPadOS 26.6, MacOS 26.6 Tahoe, WatchOS 26.6 and TVOS 26.6.<\/p>\n

\t\t\t\t\t\"Brace<\/p>\n

New in this release is a feature you may never run into: an alert when you\u2019ve blocked too many contacts. Blocking is a feature for counteracting spam calls and texts, so if you\u2019re plagued by unwanted intrusions, you may hit the system\u2019s unspecified limit at some point.<\/p>\n

As with all system updates like this, there are numerous bug fixes and security patches<\/a> included as well.<\/p>\n

To install this latest version, go to Settings > General > Software Update on your iPhone and iPad to install this latest version.<\/p>\n

The last iOS release, version 26.5<\/a>, brought end-to-end encrypted RCS<\/a> messaging (good for texting with your Android-using friends) and ads in the Maps app (an unwanted intrusion for most people).<\/p>\n
