The 1992 Wimbledon champion has stayed close to the sport since retiring, whether through coaching, exhibition events or television. But away from tennis, his personal life has also continued to draw interest. After his marriage to actress Brooke Shields ended in 1999, Agassi found lasting happiness with fellow tennis legend Steffi Graf. The couple chose a very different path from most celebrity weddings, saying \u201cI do\u201d in 2001 with only four people present.<\/p>\n

Agassi and Graf married in October 2001 in a quiet ceremony attended only by their mothers. Instead of hosting a grand celebration, they decided to keep the occasion deeply personal.The couple later welcomed two children, son Jaden and daughter Jaz. Unlike many famous sports families, they have kept their children away from public attention for most of their lives.Jaden followed a sporting career of his own at the University of Southern California, but he chose baseball instead of tennis.\u201cAgassi is a very tennis last name, of course. He coached Novak Djokovic for a brief period between 2017 and 2018 before taking charge of Team World at the 2025 Laver Cup. Under Agassi\u2019s leadership, Team World defeated Team Europe 15-9, with players including Taylor Fritz and Alex de Minaur helping secure the victory against a squad featuring Carlos Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev.Outside tennis, Agassi has become a strong supporter of pickleball, a sport that both he and Graf regularly play. He also invested in Ballers, a start-up developing sports and entertainment venues across the United States with a focus on pickleball and padel. The company raised $20 million (\u00a315.2 million) in a Series A funding round, with fellow Grand Slam champions Sloane Stephens and Kim Clijsters also backing the project.Agassi has also rejected the idea that pickleball is harming tennis.\u201cI love watching pickleball, but only until I get to that point of wanting to go play it,\u201d he said in 2024.\u201cI\u2019ve seen pickleball save so many tennis clubs because people come and play.
