Remove items from your saved list<\/a> to add more.<\/p>\n AAA<\/p>\n A man is fighting for life and a woman has been seriously injured after a driver in his 80s ploughed into the two pedestrians at a busy intersection in Sydney\u2019s south-west.<\/p>\n Shocking footage shows the moment a car collided with the man and woman on The Boulevarde in Lakemba, just before 1pm on Tuesday.<\/p>\n The video also shows others scrambling off the road and narrowly escaping being struck before the white van veers into two cars waiting at the traffic lights.<\/p>\n The man, believed to be in his 60s, was treated for head injuries and taken to St George Hospital at Kogarah, where he remains in a critical condition. The woman, in her 30s, was taken to Liverpool Hospital and is now in a serious but stable condition.<\/p>\n One woman told Nine News her husband had been waiting in his car at the traffic lights when he saw the crash. She said he described the scene as \u201ctraumatising\u201d.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s very, very terrible \u2026 There\u2019s a life involved, of two people,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n Another local witnessed the scene just minutes after the crash.<\/p>\n \u201cI saw the blood everywhere. I was panicking,\u201d she told Nine.<\/p>\n The driver, an 82-year-old man, was treated by paramedics and taken to hospital for mandatory testing.<\/p>\n Police have urged anyone with dashcam footage of the incident to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.<\/p>\n Get alerts on breaking news as it happens.
