iOS 27 will launch this fall<\/a> for all users, here\u2019s what\u2019s new for the Apple Wallet app in the next major iPhone update.<\/p>\n

Create a Pass<\/p>\n

Apple Wallet is continually improving, with several recent updates<\/a> in iOS 26. But iOS 27 will bring more new features to Wallet users.<\/p>\n

Create a Pass is a new feature you\u2019ll find when you hit the + button inside iOS 27\u2019s Wallet app.<\/p>\n

It enables you to create a pass in one of two ways: <\/p>\n

Scan a physical pass to import it using your iPhone\u2019s camera and visual intelligence<\/p>\n

Create a pass manually from scratch<\/p>\n

The former requires the next-gen Apple Intelligence capabilities. Creating a pass manually, meanwhile, provides you with three options: Standard, Membership, and Event.<\/p>\n

The goal is that Apple wants to make the Wallet app your go-to hub for all kinds of passes, whether they\u2019re digital or physical.<\/p>\n

Split Bill with Apple Cash<\/p>\n

Split Bill with Apple Cash is another iOS 27 addition to Wallet.<\/p>\n

When using the new Siri mode in the Camera app to scan a receipt, you\u2019ll see the option to Split Bill with Apple Cash.<\/p>\n

From here, the Wallet app opens and you\u2019ll be presented with options to \u2018Request\u2019 payment from others or \u2018Pay Your Share.\u2019 It\u2019s quick, easy, and offers another reason to use Apple Cash.<\/p>\n

Recurring transactions for Apple Card<\/p>\n

If you use Apple Card, there\u2019s a convenient new hub<\/a> in iOS 27 for all your recurring transactions.<\/p>\n

Behind the three-dot icon in the top-right corner of the Apple Card screen, there\u2019s a new \u2018Recurring\u2019 option.<\/p>\n

This shows you all upcoming recurring transactions. You can see them on a calendar month view, or listed out.<\/p>\n

Essentially, this new section provides an easy way to track current subscriptions and anticipate upcoming charges.<\/p>\n

Hotel Key upgrades<\/p>\n

Beyond some small UI updates and a refreshed app icon, the last noteworthy iOS 27 feature for Apple Wallet involves hotel keys.<\/p>\n

Per a press release<\/a>, here\u2019s what Apple says is coming to hotel keys soon:<\/p>\n

With iOS 27, Apple Wallet will offer an enhanced key experience for participating hotels and resorts. Today\u2019s key experience allows guests to seamlessly unlock their rooms and hotel amenities using their iPhone or Apple Watch. And with the new enhanced key experience, they will also be able to view even more details about their trips, receive timely updates about booked activities, access services available during their stay, and more \u2014 all in one place in Apple Wallet.<\/p>\n

One of the iOS 27 betas also included an \u2018Insights\u2019 feature<\/a> in Wallet for tracking spending across multiple cards. In the US at least, that has since been removed, but hopefully will return soon.<\/p>\n
