\n\tEd Sheeran<\/a> wasted no time in spearheading a collaboration with KATSEYE<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe four-time Grammy winner shared that after hearing the global girl group\u2019s breakout single \u201cGnarly\u201d while traveling in Mexico last year, he became an instant EYEKON and reached out to them himself in hopes of collaborating.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI heard KATSEYE\u2019s song \u2018Gnarly\u2019 last year when I was in Mexico and loved it,\u201d Sheeran wrote on Instagram on Tuesday (July 28) alongside a behind-the-scenes video documenting the making of the group\u2019s latest single, \u201cAnimal.\u201d \u201cSaid I was a fan and reached out to them to see if I could write them a song. We\u2019ve created \u2018Animal\u2019 together, go check it out gang and hope you all love it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe behind-the-scenes clip reveals the song\u2019s creation, showing Sheeran in the studio as he miraculously comes up with the track\u2019s catchy chorus and earworm melodies. Fans are shown everything from the early stages of the song\u2019s formation to the final vocals being recorded by members Daniela, Lara and Megan. A snippet of the official music video plays to conclude the behind-the-scenes moment, unveiling the iconic five-piece in a dark aesthetic in line with the song\u2019s concept.<\/p>\n

\n\tSheeran\u2019s career includes nine Billboard Hot 100 <\/a>No. 1 hits and eight Billboard 200 <\/a>chart-toppers. After making their Hot 100 debut with \u201cGnarly,\u201d KATSEYE has gone as high as No. 21 on the tally with \u201cGabriela\u201d this year. Released last week, \u201cAnimal\u201d continues the rollout for KATSEYE\u2019s new era as fans anticipate the release of their EP WILD, out Aug. 14.<\/p>\n
