Panathinaikos has reportedly offered a contract to Sylvain Francisco as ASVEL Villeurbanne faces financial instability. Due to ASVEL’s failure to guarantee contract funds, the All-EuroLeague guard is exploring other options, with the Greek club emerging as a top destination for the former \u017dalgiris star.<\/p>\n

According to Sotiris Vetakis of Betarades<\/a>, Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens<\/a> are submitting an offer to Francisco, who is on his way out of ASVEL, because Tony Parker has failed to guarantee his contract money, since no new investor was found.<\/p>\n

Francisco’s side, according to Vetakis’ sources, made sure to cover the \u20ac400,000 buyout to Zalgiris Kaunas when ASVEL failed to do so, while Nick Weiler-Babb is also on the shortlist as a backup option for Panathinaikos. The same sources tell Betarades that the Greens have already submitted their final offer and are awaiting a quick response from the French star\u2019s camp.<\/p>\n

While the offer doesn’t reach the \u20ac5 million the French star expected from ASVEL, he would still receive over \u20ac3 million.<\/p>\n

Francisco as well as other players signed to the French club are weighing their options and looking for other potential destinations.<\/p>\n

The exciting guard had a stellar campaign with the Lithuanian champions last season, averaging 16.5 points, 6.5 assists, and 2.9 rebounds, also shooting almost 39% from 3.<\/p>\n

Francisco was named to the All-EuroLeague First Team this past season.<\/p>\n
