Ankalaev got a fifth-round TKO stoppage in the bout. Guskov wasn\u2019t competitive in the contest, and Ankalaev wasn\u2019t able to fully take advantage until the latter rounds before eventually getting the fight to the ground and getting the stoppage.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1upudxki _174s0un1 _174s0un0 _1mt21p01\">On Monday, Guskov delivered his first comments about his performance and the fight on Twitter.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1upudxki _174s0un1 _174s0un0 _1mt21p01\">\u201cI\u2019m sorry to everyone who believed in me,\u201d Guskov wrote. \u201cThat night wasn\u2019t my night, but I\u2019m grateful for everyone who stood behind me and supported me through this journey. Thank you for all the kind words and messages. I\u2019ll learn from this, come back stronger. I\u2019m not done yet.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1upudxki _174s0un1 _174s0un0 _1mt21p01\">Guskov entered the bout on a five-fight unbeaten streak. \u201cHitman\u201d was originally slated to face Jan Blachowicz in a rematch at this Saturday\u2019s UFC Belgrade event after their first meeting at December\u2019s UFC 323 card was scored a draw.
