People are buying vehicles in a competitive market and are seeking to purchase the best value for money vehicle. This currently means vehicles like BYD are getting a lot of the sales,\u201d another person said.<\/p>\n<p>A car dealer in Wondonga set to close its Volkswagen and Mitsubishi showrooms blamed government emissions policy for making its business unsustainable.<\/p>\n<p>Some readers agreed that the government was to blame for established car brands struggling.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThank you Albo and Chalmers, and let us know when you change your position,\u201d one person said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLabor and Albo just making policies to appease Chinese. There is no level playing field for other car manufacturers,\u201d said another. <\/p>\n<p>Not everyone believes the government is at fault.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s easier to blame the government than admit you misread the market,\u201d a reader said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cConsumers changed. The successful brands changed with them. Those that ignored demand for better value, better tech and more competitive products are now paying the price, not because of Canberra.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>XPeng\u2019s Gu urged motorists to \u201cseparate technology from politics.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cTechnology should not have national boundaries, right?\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGood technology that is useful in China should be
