Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry revealed that he isn’t contemplating retirement as he prepares for the 2026 season.<\/p>\n
“I don’t try to enter another season thing about retiring and have that on my mind,” Henry said Thursday, per ESPN’s Jamison Hensley<\/a>. “That’s not even my mindset. My mindset is how can I get better, so we can be the best team we can be. I haven’t thought about retirement at all.”<\/p>\n “I love the game and once I feel like that love is gone, then I’ll hang it up,” he added. “But I’m just focused on getting better.”<\/p>\n The 32-year-old has already spent 10 seasons in the NFL with the Ravens and Tennessee Titans.<\/p>\n Still, Henry didn’t show many signs of slowing down during his 2025 campaign.<\/p>\n In 17 appearances, the five-time Pro Bowler rushed for 1,595 yards and 16 touchdowns while averaging 5.2 yards per carry.<\/p>\n His productivity was particularly impressive considering he faced at least eight defenders in the box on over 39 percent of his carries, the second-highest rate among all running backs (via\u00a0Next Gen Stats<\/a>).<\/p>\n Henry also remained durable in 2025, suiting up in all 17 regular-season contests for the third consecutive year.<\/p>\n
