Alyssa Healy has signed on as a permanent member of the Fox Cricket commentary team ahead of Kayo\u00a0SPORTS\u2019\u00a0Summer of the Century.<\/p>\n
The 2019 Belinda Clark Award winner joins Adam Gilchrist, Isa Guha,\u00a0Kerry O\u2019Keeffe,\u00a0Michael Hussey, Mel Jones,\u00a0Mark Howard,\u00a0Brendon Julian, Brett\u00a0Lee, Ian\u00a0Smith, Michael Vaughan, Mark Waugh, and\u00a0David Warner\u00a0as part of the Fox Cricket commentary team for an action-packed summer schedule, available on\u00a0Kayo\u00a0SPORTS.\u00a0<\/p>\n
A two-time ICC Women’s T20I Cricketer of the Year winner,\u00a0Healy\u00a0retired from professional cricket in March, bringing down the curtain on a decorated career that saw her make 299 appearances for Australia over 16 years, including the final three seasons as captain.<\/p>\n
Ahead of hanging up the gloves,\u00a0the\u00a0former Australian skipper\u00a0picked up the mic last summer as part of the Fox Cricket family and quickly became a household\u00a0favourite\u00a0for her engaging, insightful, and entertaining approach to broadcasting.<\/p>\n
Healy will feature as part of the commentary team for the Top End Test series in August when Australia host Bangladesh in Darwin and Mackay\u00a0from August 13.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Fox Cricket\u00a0expert commentator, Healy said:<\/p>\n

Healy\u2019s record-breaking career included more than 7,300 runs and 278 dismissals \u2013 the most of any women\u2019s international across all three formats.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The most decorated T20 international player in the history of women\u2019s cricket, Healy won six T20 World Cups and was the first female player to reach a century of dismissals.\u00a0Her trophy cabinet also includes an ODI World Cup (2022), Commonwealth Games gold medal (2022), 11 Women’s National Cricket League wins with the NSW Breakers and two Women’s Big Bash League tournament victories (WBBL).\u00a0<\/p>\n
The Summer of the Century\u00a0includes\u00a0seven\u00a0months of action,\u00a0starting\u00a0for the men\u2019s team\u00a0with the Top End Test Series\u00a0against Bangladesh\u00a0in August, then features\u00a0clashes, across all three formats,\u00a0with\u00a0South Africa, England, New Zealand, and India, before\u00a0culminating in the 150th Anniversary Test Match\u00a0at the Melbourne Cricket Ground\u00a0in\u00a0March.\u00a0<\/p>\n
In their return to the field after winning\u00a0the T20\u00a0World Cup, the women\u2019s side\u00a0will\u00a0host\u00a0Bangladesh,\u00a0New Zealand,\u00a0and South Africa\u00a0in successive white ball series on home soil from October.<\/p>\n
The highly\u00a0anticipated\u00a0domestic T20 schedule\u00a0will begin in Chennai, India, when Melbourne Renegades and Perth Scorchers\u00a0play in the BBL16 opener at\u00a0the MA Chidambaram Stadium on December 12, and the WBBL\u00a0campaign\u00a0commences\u00a0on October 29 in Melbourne.\u00a0<\/p>\n
