SALT LAKE CITY \u2013\u00a0The last time Utah Mammoth fans saw Connor Ingram<\/a>, the veteran goaltender gave up four goals to Los Angeles before stepping away from the sport for personal reasons in late February.<\/p>\n

The league announced on March 9, 2025, that Ingram had re-entered the NHL\/NHLPA Player Assistance Program.<\/p>\n

Weeks before the beginning of training camp, Ingram has been cleared to rejoin the NHL<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Ingram is currently under contract with the Mammoth.<\/p>\n

Connor Ingram releases a statement regarding his absence<\/p>\n

After the club announced Ingram\u2019s absence in March, the 27-year-old posted a statement on social media explaining his departure.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor those of you that don\u2019t know, earlier this season I lost my mother to breast cancer. After trying to make a return to playing, l have come to realize that I am not myself,\u201d Ingram wrote.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt this point in my life I need to put my health first, and the take the proper time I need away to come back at 100%. Though many view the program as a resource for substance abuse, I want to recognize all that they do. I am once again privileged to have access to their network of world-class health professionals to hopefully avoid long-term negative effects of putting your health second. With the program\u2019s assistance, l look forward to getting the medical help I need and returning to a happy and healthy life.\u201d<\/p>\n

In 2021, Ingram worked with the NHL and the NHLPA Player Assistance Program to address obsessive-compulsive disorder that he had treated with substance abuse.<\/p>\n

The goaltender made 22 appearances for the Utah Hockey Club in 2024-25, finishing with a record of 9-8-4.<\/p>\n
