ASVEL\u2019s turbulent offseason continues following the revision of the club\u2019s projected budget and the departure of Sylvain Francisco.<\/p>\n

The French club owes approximately \u20ac1.2 million related to the 2025-26 season after its player spending fell below the minimum level required under EuroLeague\u2019s Financial Stability and Fair Play Regulations.<\/p>\n

Under the Competitive Balance Standards, the difference between ASVEL\u2019s actual spending and the required Low Remuneration Level must be distributed among the players registered with the team last season.<\/p>\n

If the outstanding amount is not settled, ASVEL may be prevented from registering players and coaches for the 2026-27 EuroLeague season until it fulfills its obligations.<\/p>\n

The issue adds further uncertainty to a project that underwent a major budget revision after initially announcing several high-profile additions.<\/p>\n

Francisco has already left the club and joined Panathinaikos<\/a>, while the futures of other summer signings remain unclear.<\/p>\n
