BOZEMAN, Mont. – For the second consecutive year, the Montana State women’s basketball team has been named the 2025-26 Big Sky Team Academic Champions after maintaining a program-wide GPA of 3.76 throughout a historic season of competition.

\nThe Bobcats, who set a new conference record after accumulating 57 wins in back-to-back seasons, topped off their winter honors by recording the highest GPA amongst Big Sky women’s basketball teams.<\/p>\n
“Congratulations\u00a0to our Team Academic Champions from this past year,” Commissioner Tom Wistrcill said. “We implemented these awards four years ago to further promote the incredible successes our student-athletes are having in the classroom on a consistent basis. During this time, we’ve seen some very strong efforts across all our sports that the entire membership should be proud of.”<\/p>\n
Eight Montana State players earned Big Sky All-Academic honors during the season, including\u00a0Brianne Bailey<\/a>, Taylee Chirrick<\/a>, Kadynce Couture<\/a>, Teagan Erickson<\/a>, Brooke Fatupaito<\/a>, Addison Harris<\/a>, Ella Johnson<\/a> and Courtney Smith<\/a>. Dylan Philip<\/a> was also one of seven Bobcats to earn a perfect 4.0 GPA, joining Bailey, Erickson, Fatupaito, Johnson and Smith.<\/p>\n
