He has a much bigger goal for his second season.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nj.com\/giants\/2026\/07\/giants-abdul-carter-crows-about-massive-goal-for-year-2-but-is-it-attainable.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">I want to be Defensive Player of the Year<\/a>,\u201d Carter said, via Darryl Slater of nj.com. <\/p>\n<p>Carter \u201cabsolutely\u201d thinks it is realistic and laid out the reasons.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJust my process and knowing who I can be \u2014 and a belief in myself,\u201c Carter said. \u201dI know what I\u2019m capable of. I can be whoever I want to be.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Carter had moments when he showed why he was the third overall pick, but he also proved unreliable with his habitual tardiness. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cEverything happened the way it was supposed to,\u201d Carter said. \u201cI learned from it, moved on from it.
