Nassourdine Imavov has sent an ominous warning to Sean Strickland<\/a> as the two look set to be on a collision course for a potential title fight. <\/p>\n

Earlier today, Imavov took a page out of Conor McGregor\u2019s book<\/a> and replied to Strickland\u2019s tweet, where he had provided an update on his shoulder, while also taunting Khamzat Chimaev<\/a>. <\/p>\n

And now, in his latest tweet, the Russian-French mixed martial artist has issued the UFC middleweight champion a stark warning. Imavov wrote:<\/p>\n

I\u2019m not gonna respond every time that drunk opens his mouth. Real MMA fans know. @ufc<\/a> knows. HE KNOWS! Keep the act going. When the official date drops, you\u2019ll all know. Nobody escapes their destiny.<\/p>\n

Sean Strickland and Nassourdine Imavov Fought Once back in January 2023<\/p>\n

Sean Strickland and Nassourdine Imavov might be on course for a title fight, but they have already fought once. It was on the 14th of January, 2023, in what was a Fight Night main event. However, it was contested as a light heavyweight bout.<\/p>\n

Strickland earned a unanimous decision win, scoring 49\u201346, 49\u201346, 48\u201347, on the judges\u2019 scorecards. That was Imavov\u2019s last loss in the UFC before he went on an impressive five-fight winning streak that included wins over veterans like Israel Adesanya<\/a> and Jared Cannonier. <\/p>\n

Strickland, on the other hand, went on to win the middleweight title that same year in what was a major upset win against Adesanya at UFC 293. However, in his first title defense, he faltered against Dricus Du Plessis<\/a> before going on to lose the rematch as well. <\/p>\n
