The Los Angeles Rams are now officially in training camp<\/a>, which is an extremely exciting time of the year for fans. <\/p>\n

It\u2019s also exciting for players\u2014for the most part, at least. While these players are surely looking forward to another season, this also marks the start of many months often spent away from their families. <\/p>\n

Nobody knows this better than Rams star quarterback, Matthew Stafford. He\u2019s entering his 18th NFL season, all of which have meant the reigning NFL MVP has had to leave his wife, Kelly, for at least some time (although they got to attend Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce\u2019s wedding<\/a> together earlier this month).<\/p>\n

Matthew and Kelly now have four daughters together (all of whom are between six and nine years old), which makes this annual goodbye even more difficult.<\/p>\n

Kelly captured what appeared to be a temporary goodbye between Stafford and his four daughters with an Instagram post earlier in the month. The star quarterback was hugging all four of them at once, and the post was captioned, \u201c18th nfl camp \u2764\ufe0f\u201d. <\/p>\n

Kelly Stafford hinted at several reasons why her husband\u2019s NFL tenure might end sooner rather than later<\/a> during her\u00a0appearance on \u201cThe Cutting Edge\u201d podcast\u00a0<\/a>earlier this month.<\/p>\n

\u201cOne of the biggest things Matthew can\u2019t stand is that he can\u2019t come to [his kids\u2019] weekend games,\u201d Kelly said. <\/p>\n

That\u2019s\u00a0starting to wear and tear on him<\/a>, that he\u2019s not around for those. And they\u2019re getting to the age \u2026 And they\u2019re asking, \u2018Well, when is dad gonna come to our games?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Stafford will likely have to be away from his daughters this weekend, which is clearly something he\u2019s not keen to do for much longer. <\/p>\n
