A teenage boy has been charged with murder following the death of a man on the NSW Central Coast.<\/p>\n
Emergency services were called to Mann Street, Gosford, about 7:30pm on Tuesday, July 28.<\/p>\n
A 22-year-old man was found with multiple stab wounds.<\/p>\n
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated him at the scene, but he later died at Gosford Hospital.<\/p>\n
Following investigations, police attended a home at Lake Haven in the early hours of this morning and arrested the boy, 15, and a 45-year-old woman.<\/p>\n
The woman has been charged with hindering the apprehension of a person who committed a serious offence.<\/p>\n
Woman granted bail<\/p>\n
The 45-year-old fronted court this morning, with her lawyer putting forward a bail application, which was opposed by the police prosecutor.<\/p>\n
The prosecutor told the court she hindered police efforts when they were attempting to arrest a young person wanted on a serious charge.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Her lawyer, Javid Faiz, told the court his client is a mother of two and is caring for a child with special needs.<\/p>\n
He acknowledged it was a serious matter and a tragic incident involving young people.<\/p>\n
Mr Faiz told the court the matter was not gang related and “something that occurred over a hat”.<\/p>\n
When granting bail, Acting Judge Leslie Brennan said the police facts allege the woman was hiding a young person wanted for murder.<\/p>\n
“Police had to break a door down to gain entry,” Acting Judge Brennan told the court.<\/p>\n
He added that “it does seem she was hindering” but it was unclear if she knew the boy was wanted for the matter.<\/p>\n
The woman must report to police once a week.<\/p>\n
