The Cowboys had interest in a trade for Raiders pass rusher Maxx Crosby. They might still have interest.<\/p>\n

Dallas attempted to acquire the five-time Pro Bowler in March. The Raiders instead sent him to the Ravens for two first-round picks before reneging on the deal because of long-term concerns about Crosby\u2019s surgically repaired left knee.<\/p>\n

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones was asked earlier this week about walking away from a deal for Crosby and took offense to the question.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe didn\u2019t<\/a>,\u201d Jones said, via Jon Machota of TheAthletic.com. \u201cWe did not walk away. That\u2019s about all there is to say. We understood his injury well. We thought he could help us then. We were surprised by the way that was resolved. To interject anything about what we\u2019re thinking or doing, because he went back to the Raiders, would be a mistake. He\u2019s a Raider.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf the team is coming along well, then those things stay alive. If all of a sudden you don\u2019t think it\u2019s coming along, then those things don\u2019t stay alive. It\u2019s a good indicator of how good we feel about this team. . . . He\u2019s such a Raider. He\u2019s completely a Raider. He\u2019s happy to be a Raider. Everything in the book. We shouldn\u2019t even be having this kind of discussion.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Cowboys\u2019 team doctor, Dr. Dan Cooper, was one of the doctors the Ravens consulted about Crosby.<\/p>\n

But Jones\u2019 comments Tuesday reignited speculation about a possible trade of Crosby to the Cowboys.<\/p>\n

Crosby heard the trade talk and brushed it off.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt doesn\u2019t change anything<\/a> for me, to be honest,\u201d Crosby said Thursday, via Jarrett Bell of USA Today. \u201cPeople act like they don\u2019t. . . . If you\u2019re an athlete in this position, you see everything.
