Both divorced, they married 12 months later and have five adult children between them. Jolene is mother to Kody (24), Cameron (22) and Madisyn (18), and Adam is father to twins Ella and Kai (24). This is the second time they have applied for The Block. “We are huge fans. I have wanted to do this show for years. We watch every episode. It is great to talk about something other than work,” says Jolene.

Experience
Adam is a qualified carpenter who has been involved in a variety of building projects. He has worked in Arnhem Land, flying out to remote communities teaching basic skills and helping to fix homes, which he describes as “the coolest gig ever and most rewarding job”. Jolene, with a background in property management, has managed small renovations of investment properties and a new build. Together they have project-managed the renovation of an old station homestead.

Adam, 48, Cattle Station Manager
Originally from Mission Beach in Queensland, Adam is hard working, has a fun disposition, positive attitude, and can always find the light in everything. A social butterfly, he is sure to bring a lot of fun to The Block. Adam loves the water and is a keen fisherman. He enjoys the simple things in life like camping out under the stars and being out in nature.

Jolene, 42, Cattle Station Manger
Jolene grew up in Mareeba, Far North Queensland. She is a bit more reserved than Adam and can sometimes be hot-headed, admitting “I can be cutthroat at times when I’m passionate about things.” On weekends Jolene loves getting out and about on the property with Adam, mustering cattle, cutting firewood and enjoying a camp oven meal by the fire. “We are hardworking country folk, but given the chance to get away from the station we enjoy trying new foods and visiting wineries,” says Jolene.

Together
This couple are strong and resilient. They have spent the past five years working together managing cattle stations and have each other’s back. They banter in fun, and while they may bicker they are quick to get over it, as they have great respect for one another. “Adam is really easygoing, very little ruffles him. He can always find the bright side of everything and that is his personality,” says Jolene. Adam clearly adores Jolene. “People underestimate her. She works hard behind the scenes and comes across quite staunch. But her best quality is her massive, big heart.” On The Block, Jolene will handle the design, shopping and styling while Adam is on the tools and managing the site. But rest assured, Jolene isn’t afraid to dig in and get her hands dirty.

Chantel & Wyatt
Couple from the Gold Coast, Queensland
Chantel (32) and Wyatt (30) are a fit and competitive fun-loving couple who met two years ago in the gym. Wyatt’s strengths are discipline and order, keeping everyone on track, and making sure things get done. They met nine years ago and have been married for four years. Together they have a two-year-old son, Lando, and recently purchased acreage where they plan to build their dream farmhouse, a passion project they have named “Sampson’s Paddock” after their sheepdog. This is where they hope to raise their family free range and have family and friends coming to stay. When not working on their property dream they go caravanning around WA. Lisa is another Block superfan who has always coveted being on the show, and Rosco states “my job is to support Lisa’s dreams”.

Experience
Lisa and Rosco completed their own home over three years, going from a shell to installing cabinetry and fixtures throughout, a kitchen, bathrooms, doing the landscaping, and adding cladding. Mates helped their dreams come to life. They also demolished an old 1950s house on a big block and subdivided it into two streetfront lots which included the retaining walls, filling, compacting, and underground power, plus submitting all the plans and obtaining the building approvals.

Lisa, 34, paramedic and registered nurse
Perth-born enjoys family and friends, road trips, camp sites, salty water, stand-up paddle boarding, entertaining at home, trying new recipes, and finding a homewares sale. “Life is about being around those who warm my soul. It really is the simple things for me, and there isn’t a day that goes by that I’m not grateful,” she says. Being a paramedic is the dream job she has enjoyed for a decade. She is now working part-time to focus on their own home build and raise Lando. One day she would like to own a homewares business or transition into interior styling and have a go at house flipping alongside Rosco.

Rosco, 38, FIFO logistics expert in oil and gas
Hailing from Perth, Rosco grew up on Christmas Island off the north-west coast of WA, which instilled a love of surfing, fishing, mountain biking and road tripping. Apart from his family, Rosco has a passion for fast cars. He spent seven years building an imported Nissan GTR-R32 from scratch and is due to finally get it registered.

Together
Authentic and grounded, this couple have a loving, strong and more traditional relationship. Rosco is the backbone of the family and Lisa is the heart. Rosco gets things done and Lisa takes care of the details. Lisa sees her role as chief of interior styling, minister of finance, trade assistant and snack provider, while Rosco will be a mix of project manager and hands-on tradie. It’s chaos and calm in one package. We’re total opposites in some ways but somehow always on the same wavelength,” says Sev. Sev is married to Nelson. When he had a medical episode while they were living in an isolated coastal town, they moved back to Brisbane to live with Courtney, who opened her home to her friends so they could access additional care and oversee construction of their home. They all lived together for 16 months. Courtney and Sev really dig The Block. “I’m the biggest fan. I have watched the last eleven seasons and in my spare time I stream much older seasons,” says Sev. Courtney agrees. “We want it so badly and have been dreaming about it for years.”

Experience
Courtney has extensive experience in construction and renovation. As a site manager she has been involved in projects for universities, schools, hotels, resorts, shopping centres, bars and clubs. She has also renovated two of her own properties, one an internal refurbishment, the other transforming a quaint 1970s cottage into a stunning modern home. With Sev’s help, Courtney also renovated her aunt’s investment property which was severely damaged in the Brisbane 2021 floods and deemed unlivable. Sev has extensive experience in commercial interior design, and together with husband Nelson has completed a full internal and external renovation of a 1970s low-set brick home and more recently a 1920s Queenslander worker’s cottage.

Courtney, 34, site manager – commercial construction
Courtney takes pride in her work and is one of Australia’s few female site managers. Sev (short for Sevilay) has a successful interior design career and is a highly motivated creative. A strong leader and collaborator, she always has a can-do attitude. Five years ago, Sev’s dermatologist advised that her hair thinning and early areas of reduced hair density were consistent with androgenetic alopecia. As the condition progressed, Sev began wearing wigs, which encouraged her to explore and be creative with wigs.” Along with her bestie Courtney, Sev loves planning holidays and spends hours looking at places for her next getaway. A foodie, she likes trying new restaurants, from fancy spots to hidden little gems.

Together
Courtney and Sev will be a force on The Block, with Courtney’s background in construction and Sev’s in design. That is a big driver for applying for The Block, as well as spending three months on the show with his daughter. “That would be amazing,” he says. Rick is a keen golfer. When not working or golfing, he loves just being with his loved ones.
